His observations made as a young boy, matured into a philosophy has become the foundation of the company’s objective.
The philosophy emphasizes the need to serve society and to promote the general welfare of mankind by making the highest quality goods available at the lowest possible prices.
Matsushita’s basic business philosophy has been for the Matsushita people, the ultimate objective of the business and also for framework of their daily business activities.
The philosophy has withstood he test of time to provide a corporate tradition which is with us, to this day. It is identity that makes Matsushita what it is today and the driving force for the company’s development.

The Matsushita Basic Business Philosophy consists of three elements :
Basic Management Objective – express the corporate goals of the company

Company Creed – expresses the basic attitude of employees to their daily work
“Progress and development can only be realised through the combined efforts and cooperation of each employee of our company. United in spirit, we pledge to perform our corporate duties with dedication, diligence and integrity.”
